Traditional three-phase charging stations cannot utilize low solar power, e.g., in the early morning and evening, because minimum charging power must meet standards. With the SMA EV Charger, this energy can be optimally utilized by starting a single-phase charging process at 1.3 kW and automatically switching to three-phase charging at higher solar power levels.

Regardless of whether it's a new or existing installation, the SMA EV Charger can be used flexibly, and thanks to the permanent connection with a type 2 charging cable, this product is compatible with all common electric vehicles.

In combination with Sunny Home Manager 2.0, customers can prioritize solar energy for charging their electric vehicle – and do so particularly quickly if needed. The SMA EV Charger is easily operated with a rotary switch on the device or via the SMA Energy app.

With the boost function, charging can be twice as fast as with traditional charging stations. Even small solar power systems can be optimally utilized by automatically switching between a single- and three-phase charging process. The intelligent system continuously takes all consumers into account and prevents overloading of the household connection.
