The Herschel iQ R2 receiver is specifically designed to control Herschel infrared heaters. The R2 works with the T2 thermostat.
The R2 is the switch that turns your heating on and off and must be connected to the heating and the mains. It also acts as an internet gateway for the T2, allowing you to control the system with the SmartLife app.
The R2 connects wirelessly to the T2 thermostat and receives control commands from the T2 to turn the heating on or off. Additional R2s can be added to the same T2 thermostat, allowing you to control multiple heaters in a room with the same T2 controller.
The R2 receiver has a 1-hour boost function and all other control functions are provided from the T2 or SmartLife app.
Note:
Herschel controls will only work with Herschel heaters. Use with another brand of heater will void the warranty.
The R2 must be used with a T2 to control your heating.
