The Enphase IQ8-HC is one of the latest models in the Enphase microinverter family. This series boasts exceptionally high efficiency, ensuring maximum energy harvesting from solar panels. This generation of inverters is known for the highest energy production and reliability on the market.
A key feature of the Enphase IQ8 microinverters is the presence of integrated MC4 connectors, which allows for simple and quick installation through a click & play system on the roof.
Rapid Shutdown function
The IQ8-HC microinverters feature the Rapid Shutdown function, ensuring they meet the strictest safety standards. Unlike many string inverters, the IQ8-HC offers a built-in safety switch. This ensures the IQ8 microinverters meet the strictest safety standards in the event of a fire hazard.
In situations where the AC power source is interrupted, such as by an AC switch or outage, the IQ8-HC microinverter will automatically activate the rapid shutdown function.
Enphase IQ8-HC Burst Mode Technology
The IQ8 microinverters also feature Burst Mode technology, an innovative feature that ensures the inverter performs optimally even in low sunlight or high temperatures.
Burst Mode continuously analyzes the voltage output during each AC cycle—which at a 60Hz frequency equates to 60 cycles per second. Every 1/60th of a second, Burst Mode performs a new calculation to determine the ideal output voltage.
When the solar panels in the system generate less than 30% of their maximum capacity, Burst Mode kicks in. The Enphase IQ8-HC microinverter stores the generated energy in built-in capacitors, ensuring optimal efficiency even during periods of low sunlight output.
Features IQ8-HC
The Enphase IQ8-HC microinverter delivers a maximum output of 380 watts. However, it is possible to connect solar panels with a maximum capacity of 560 watts peak, because once the output exceeds 380 watts, the IQ8-HC will limit it.
The IQ8-HC microinverter is compatible with solar panels containing 54 (or 108 half), 60 (or 120 half), and 72 (or 144 half) cells.
One microinverter is required for each individual solar panel. Not compatible with IQ7 or older inverters.
