The Enphase IQ8-AC is one of the most recent models of the Enphase micro-inverters. This series has an exceptionally high efficiency that ensures maximum energy yield from solar panels. This generation of inverters is known for the highest energy production and reliability in the market.

A key feature of the Enphase IQ8 microinverters is the presence of integrated MC4 connectors, which allows for simple and quick installation through a click & play system on the roof.

Rapid Shutdown function

The IQ8-ac microinverters have the Rapid Shutdown function, which makes them meet the most stringent safety standards. Unlike many string inverters, the IQ8-HC offers a built-in safety switch. This makes the IQ8 microinverters meet the most stringent safety standards in the event of a fire hazard.

In situations where the AC power source is interrupted, such as an AC switch or outage, the IQ8-AC microinverter will automatically activate the rapid shutdown function.

Enphase IQ8-AC Burst Mode Technology

The IQ8 microinverters are also equipped with Burst Mode technology, an innovative feature that ensures the inverter performs optimally even in low sunlight or high temperatures.

Burst Mode continuously analyzes the voltage output during each AC cycle - which at 60Hz frequency equates to 60 cycles per second. Every 1/60th of a second, Burst Mode makes a new calculation to determine the ideal output voltage.

When the solar panels in the system are delivering less than 30% of their maximum capacity, Burst Mode kicks in. The Enphase IQ8-AC Microinverter stores the generated energy in built-in capacitors, ensuring optimum efficiency during times of reduced sunlight output.

Features IQ8-AC

The Enphase IQ8-AC microinverter delivers a maximum power of 360 Watts. Nevertheless, it is possible to connect solar panels with a capacity of up to 530 Watts peak, because as soon as the power exceeds 360 Watts, the IQ8-AC will limit it.

The IQ8-AC microinverter is compatible with solar panels containing 54 (or 108 half), 60 (or 120 half), and 72 (or 144 half) cells.

One microinverter is required for each individual solar panel. Not compatible with IQ7 or older inverters.
