BYD's latest generation of HVS high-voltage storage systems now boasts a "+." In addition to proven features and key data, the new HVS+ features an improved BCU. This can be flexibly used with HVB, HVS+, and HVM+ series storage modules. The new automatic SOC balancing optimizer eliminates the need for manual charge level adjustments during initial installation and expansion. The revised BCU connection management, with connectors at the power and communication levels, saves even more valuable time during installation. System configuration has also been simplified with a new installation app. An end-user app is also available for convenient system monitoring.
The BYD battery from the HVS+ series, which stands for High-Voltage Small, has the lowest capacity, as the name suggests. A standard pack consists of two battery modules with a combined capacity of 5.1 kWh. The HVS+ is expandable to a maximum of five modules, achieving a total capacity of 12.8 kWh. Each individual module has a capacity of 2.56 kWh with an internal voltage of 102.4V. Whether you can use a total of five modules depends on the battery or hybrid inverter used. You can connect up to three battery towers in parallel—3 x 5 battery modules—for a maximum capacity of 38.4 kWh.
