The battery can be used with both single-phase and three-phase high-voltage inverters. The Real High-Voltage series connection gives the battery high efficiency. The battery is made of cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP), ensuring maximum safety, durability, and power. BYD has a patent on the modular plug design, eliminating the need for internal wiring, maximizing flexibility and user-friendliness.
A Battery-Box Premium HVM+ consists of 3 to 8 HVM+ battery modules connected in series to achieve a usable capacity of 8.3 to 22.1 kWh. In addition, direct parallel connection of up to 3 identical Battery-Box Premium HVMs allows for a maximum capacity of 66.2 kWh. Scalability is possible by adding HVM modules or parallel HVM stacks later.
The BYD HVM+ battery, or High-Voltage Medium, is more powerful than the HVS. A basic pack consists of three battery modules with a combined capacity of 8.3 kWh. This model can be expanded to a maximum of eight modules with a combined capacity of 22.1 kWh. Each module has a capacity of 2.76 kWh and an internal voltage of 51.2V.
This model also has a minimum requirement. You must use at least three modules for a functioning battery. A maximum of three identical systems can be connected in parallel – so 3 x 8 – achieving a maximum capacity of 66.2 kWh.
