The ECM04 or energy counter module is a module that counts the pulses it receives from a meter. It does not matter what type of meter these pulses come from as long as the contacts are voltage-free. The ECM can receive and count a pulse every 250ms. The system can also create an alarm at a certain number of pulses, for example for a green energy certificate for solar panels.
The maximum cable length between the ECM04 and the contacts connected to it is 1 meter. The input contacts can be defined via the Qbus software, where you can choose from the following settings:
- Push button = when a push button is connected to the input (normally open, activates a status only when briefly pressed, e.g., a doorbell).
- Normally open = contact that is open when it is not active.
- Normally closed = contact that is closed when it is not active.
The 4 low-voltage LEDs that can be connected to an ECM04 indicate the status of the selected mode for each input.
