The Enphase IQ8-MC is among the latest models of Enphase microinverters. This series has an exceptionally high efficiency that ensures maximum energy yield from solar panels. This generation of inverters is known for the highest energy production and reliability in the market.
An important feature of the Enphase IQ8 microinverters is the presence of integrated MC4 connectors, enabling easy and quick installation through a click & play system on the roof.
Rapid Shutdown Function
The IQ8-MC microinverters feature the Rapid Shutdown function, complying with the strictest safety standards. Unlike many string inverters, the IQ8-HC offers a built-in safety switch. This way, the IQ8 microinverters meet the highest safety standards in case of fire hazard.
In situations where the AC power source is interrupted, such as by an AC switch or outage, the IQ8-MC microinverter automatically activates the rapid shutdown function.
Enphase IQ8 Burst Mode Technology
The IQ8 microinverters are also equipped with Burst Mode technology, an innovative feature that ensures the inverter performs optimally even in low sunlight or high temperatures.
Burst Mode continuously analyzes the voltage output during each AC cycle - which at a 60Hz frequency amounts to 60 cycles per second. Every 1/60th of a second, Burst Mode makes a new calculation to determine the ideal output voltage.
When the solar panels within the system deliver less than 30% of their maximum capacity, the Burst Mode activates. The Enphase IQ8-MC microinverter stores the generated energy in built-in capacitors, ensuring optimal efficiency during periods of reduced sunlight.
IQ8-MC Features
The Enphase IQ8-MC microinverter delivers a maximum power of 325 Watts. Nevertheless, it is possible to connect solar panels with a capacity of up to 480 Watt-peak, because once the power exceeds 325 Watts, the IQ8-MC will limit it.
The IQ8-MC microinverter is compatible with solar panels containing 54 (or 108 half), 60 (or 120 half), and 72 (or 144 half) cells.
One microinverter is required for each individual solar panel. Not compatible with IQ7 or older inverters.
